Admissions Notice MS/M.Phil/Ph.D Prgrams 2023 Punjab University

 

The University of Punjab has announced spring admission 2023 for MS/MPhil and PhD programs. The admission notice is available on their website, stating that the university is accepting applications for regular and self-supporting MS, MPhil, and PhD programs in various fields. Applicants are urged to submit their applications promptly, as the deadline for submission is February 6th, 2023.

PU Spring Admission Eligibility Criteria:

For MS / MPhil Programs:

·         BS Hons. 4 years/ M.A. / M.Sc. / BSc Hons. 4 years or B.Sc. (Engg) or equivalent in the relevant subject from a HEC recognized educational institute.

·         A candidate should have no third division in the whole career.

·         Candidates have to qualify 50% marks in the PU written entry test.

·         Candidates have to qualify 50% marks in the MS/ MPhil interview.

·         Candidates without thesis in MS/MPhil can also apply but they have to complete the deficiency of 6 credit hours research thesis.

For PhD Programs:

·         MS / MPhil / MSc (Engg/Hons.) or equivalent degree with minimum first division or CGPA of 3.0 out of 4.0

·         A candidate should never had any third division in the whole career.

·         Candidates have to obtain at least 70% marks in the PU written PhD entry test.

·         Candidates have to qualify 50% marks in the PU PhD interview.

PU Spring Admission Process:

·         PU spring admission online form is available at http://admissions.pu.edu.pk

·         There are four steps you have to follow while filling out your form.

·         Firstly fill in your personal info, i.e. CNIC card number, your father’s CNIC card number, mobile number, email etc.

·         In the second step fill in your education or qualification info.

·         Insert your experience and publications if any in the third step.

·         In the fourth and final step you have to choose your desired program and generate the application processing and written test fee challan.

·         Candidates have to submit the application processing and test fee of Rs. 1000/- against each application through online banking system or in any branch of the banks mention on the fee challan.

·         Upload the paid and scanned copy of your fee challan to your application and then submit your application.

PU Admissions 2023 Important Instructions:

·         Incomplete applications in any aspect will not be entertained.

·         Application received through courier or post will not be entertained.

·         Written entry tests and interview will be conducted by the relevant departments.

·         A foreign candidate should apply through his or her Home Country’s Embassy or Consulate and Pakistan Mission Abroad office (in case of Overseas Pakistani). NOC required.

·         PU equivalence and equivalence degree award is required for the foreign graduate candidates.

·         Migration certificate from your previous university or institute must be submitted within 2 weeks after the confirmation of admission.
