The Punjab government has officially
announced the winter break schedule for schools. The holidays will begin on
December 20, 2024, and extend until January 10, 2025, offering students and
staff a 20-day break to relax and rejuvenate.
Secretary Khalid Nazir Wattoo highlighted the importance of maintaining a well-structured academic calendar, confirming that the schedule applies uniformly to both public and private schools across Punjab.
Parents are encouraged to make the most of this holiday period by combining relaxation with productive activities. The winter break is an ideal time for families to bond, engage in meaningful conversations, and instill healthy habits during the colder months. Limiting screen time is recommended, with a focus on activities like reading, learning new skills, or exploring creative hobbies to keep children actively engaged.
Schools will reopen on January 11, 2025,
marking the return to regular academic routines. Teachers are advised to
prioritize reviewing the curriculum, helping students prepare for upcoming
exams, and ensuring they remain on track with their studies.
This winter break offers a valuable
opportunity for students, parents, and educators to pause, recharge, and gear
up for the academic challenges of the new year with renewed energy and focus.
